In an article published on Philstar.com, Kapuso actress Lovi Poe denied rumors claiming that her upcoming teleserye “The One That Got Away” copied the HBO series “Sex In The City.”
The 28-year old singer-actress said that the said series tackles relationship, friendship and love among the lead characters.
According to the award-winning actress, she enjoyed her role Alex as an independent, family-oriented and career-driven person. However, her career is the main reason why the relationship with Liam (Dennis Trillo) ended.
The article reads: “Nilinaw din ni Lovi ang mga nasulat na kinopya nila sa Sex in the City ang show na napapanood sa HBO. Binuo raw ang concept ng story on relationship, friendship and love, kaya ibang-iba ito sa nasabing HBO show.”
On the other hand, Lovi is thankful for 2017 for meeting new friends and had the opportunity to travel in different countries. This year, she planned to travel more and experience new things.
“The One That Got Away” will air on GMA Telebabad starting January 15, replacing the rom-com series My Korean Jagiya. The series is in the hands of Mark Dela Cruz and Conrado Peru.
