Janine Gutierrez admitted having doubts and fears on receiving online criticisms from solid AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza) fans.
She admitted that she always dismissed bashers by ignoring them and rarely only answers back.

Janine, however, recently deactivated her Twitter account. This was allegedly because of excessive bashing.

Excessive bashing.
Alden pleaded to Janine and Andrea Torres’ bashers to stop sending them hate messages. He noted how they are just workmates. He continued that his Victor Magtanggol co-stars don’t deserve the hate.
“Kung meron man pong nangba-bash kay Janine o kay Andrea o sa iba pang leading ladies, sana po huwag. Kasi, hindi po nila deserve. Kumbaga, ako na lang po, ako na lang po ang i-bash nila. Kasi sa akin naman sila may sama ng loob, yung iba pong matinding bashers. Pero nagtatrabaho lang po kami at siyempre, para po sa amin as actors, at siyempre po, para po sa kabuhayan namin.”
