One century and two decades have passed, yet the legend of SunLifePh lives on and it’s sun shines even brighter here.
Inspired by natural event, a spectacular, delightful musical production was held over a fine dining experience last month in Palacio de Maynila. The same was graced from prominent people in various media and industries.
It was 1895 when Sun Life of Canada first set foot in our soil, the very year when the value of insurance to the Filipinos were introduced. Thereafter, from odds to odds, challenges after challenges it encountered, it weathered the test of time and continue to flourish. Amidst the hardships of Martial Law rules and a dark period of financial crises brought about the onset and chaos of world wars, SunLifePH survived with flying colors and opted to stay, ringing true to it’s promise of securing one’s future. SunlifePH suffice to say, has made it’s mark and has proven it’s niche. As of this writing, Sun’s ray continue to shine upon the lives of Filipino families, the sole reason for it’s festive commemoration and celebration this year.

Written by award-winning playwright Floy Quintos, directed by Dexter M. Santos & CeeJay Javier respectively, the inspiring legend of SunLifePh was brought to life by stage-veteran actors, couple Robert Sena and Isay Alvarez in the frontline along with a number of theater professionals who’ve lent their talents to this applause-deserving masterpiece. A real, lively image of the founding institution, and the early people behind was drawn and one can’t hep, but be awed. It was a journey of mind of soul.
