‘Sahaya’ will replace ‘Kara Mia’; to face off with ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’

• GMA Network fantasy series Kara Mia will conclude on this coming Friday, June 28, 2019
• Sahaya will occupy the timeslot of Kara Mia, going up against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano
• The Better Woman will premiere on Monday, July 1, 2019 occupying the timeslot vacated by Sahaya
• Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres are the lead stars of The Better Woman

Sahaya will move to an earlier timeslot to face off against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

GMA Network’s fantasy series Kara Mia will be concluding on Friday, June 28, 2019. Because of this, Sahaya will be moved to Kara Mia‘s timeslot to compete with ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Reportedly, a Koreanovela was expected to replace Kara Mia. However, the timeslot vacated by Sahaya will then be occupied by a new teleserye titled, The Better Woman starring Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres.

In the three-year run so far of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, it has been pitted against several shows from GMA Network but the latter has failed to beat the Kapamilya show. Since its first airing, the show has remained the most watched and highest-rating TV program in the country.

Here is the list of Kapuso programs that tried to steal the crown from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, but failed:

1. Marimar starring Megan Young and Tom Rodriguez lasted for only five months
2. Little Nanay with Kris Bernal aired for four months
3. Poor Senorita, a light drama series top-billed by Regine Velasquez
4. Encantadia (the remake of the original 2005 series) premiered on July 18, 2016 and concluded on May 19, 2017
5. Mulawin vs Ravena (with Carla Abellana, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista, and Dennis Trillo) lasted for more than three months
6.  Alyas Robin Hood starring Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes aired for more than a year with season two extension
7. Super Ma’am with Kapuso Primetime Queen Maria Rivera premiered on September 18, 2017 and concluded on January 26, 2018
8. Alyas Robin Hood Season 2 top-billed by Ruru Madrid with 75 episodes
9. Sherlock Jr with Ruru Madrid replacing Super Ma’am
10. The Cure (a “zombie-serye”  starring Jennylyn Mercado and Tom Rodriguez), replacing Sherlock Jr has a total of 65 episodes
11. Victor Magtanggol (with pambasang bae Alden Richards) with 80 episodes was aired from July 30 to November 16, 2018
12. Cain at Abel united Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo but the show only lasted three months

Kara Mia is the 13th GMA Network program pitted against the Kapamilya show.
