Manny Pacquiao went home with twin victories last Sunday (July 21) when he clinched the WBA world welterweight division title and his fight became the most watched program during the entire weekend with a national TV rating of 34.8% based on data from Kantar Media, covering both urban and rural areas.
The “Fighting Senator,” who now has a record of 62 wins, 7 losses, and 2 draws with 39 knockouts, did not disappoint his supporters and countrymen, who were able to catch the fight exclusively on ABS-CBN platforms. Apart from its telecast on Channel 2, “Pacquiao vs Thurman” also aired on S+A, and was viewed live without commercials and on high-definition via SKY Sports PPV, with a blow-by-blow coverage on DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 with sports anchor Dyan Castillejo and analyst Quinito Henson.
