It’s that time of the year again when Kapamilya stars kill it on the red carpet of ABS-CBN Ball. This year has a Modern Filipiniana theme.
One of the stars that consistently slays it on the red carpet is Liza Soberano, but somehow the former Darna star isn’t too excited this time.
As the newest endorser of Jollibee, Liza admitted that she is “nervous” about the annual star-studded event,
“I can never really say that I’m fully excited for the ball because I feel there’s so much pressure,”
She’s scared that she might not meet the public’s expectation with her look every ball.
“That makes me more nervous, because I don’t want to let people down, of course, but I also don’t want expectations to get into my head,” she explained.
But Soberano doesn’t forget the ball is not just an avenue to show off glamorous gowns, but to celebrate and mingle with each other.
“I feel like the Ball is supposed to be something that the management, Star Magic, and all of us artists, we come together as one just to celebrate and to mingle with each other. For some reason, through the years, parang mas nape-pressure ako nang nape-pressure. I just want to enjoy and spend time with them and gain new friends.”
Liza recently spent several months in America for surgery on her fractured finger. After being absent from showbiz for some time, Liza shared that she’ll soon be taping with Enrique Gil for an upcoming series.
“We’re actually going to be taping soon for a new teleserye with Enrique. Actually we’re going to leave the country sometime this week or next week I guess, but I don’t have any details yet as to where or what’s the story all about. But they’re going to send the story within the week.”
But is Liza Soberano ready to work with another leading man?
“I’m open to working with anyone naman. I don’t have any specific in mind yet, pero kung ano ang mabibigay at maipapayo ng ABS-CBN and if I think if it’s best for my career, then why not?”
