Comedian-host Arnell Ignacio, designer Armando Favia, and comedian Inday Garutay criticized Vice Ganda’s Gandang Gabi Vice‘ September 22, Sunday, episode which featured two young Boy Scouts who went viral years ago.
They took offense to how the TV host pushed the kids to sway their hips and dance
like girls on stage while wearing their Boy Scout uniforms.
On Ignacio’s personal Facebook account, he said, “Lintek naman. Ako bakla na ha pero dapat naman alamin naman natin na HINDI lahat ng nakakaaliw ay tamang bigyan ng ganyang atensyon!”
He also added, “Parang wala nang katiting na regulation, discretion na…hindi dahil naaliw tayo ay tama. Iilan na lang nga ang natitira na parang…bigyan naman natin ng sagrado na, like boy scouts, iilan na lang nga. Tapos gagawin pa nating katawa-tawa, nakakaaliw na nagsasayaw.”
In his Showbiz Talk Ganern sa DZRH interview last Thursday, he also said, “Wala na tayong katiting na regulation? Wala na ba tayong katiting na discretion na para naman may magsabi ng, ‘Uy, huwag naman ‘yan! Hayaan mo na, meron pa namang ibang nakakatuwa.’”
Favia also aired his opinion about the episode. “Isn’t this a disrespect of the Boy Scout’s uniform? And Creed of Honor?” he stated.
Meanwhile, Garutay also agreed that the episode showed “disrespect” to the Boy Scouts. “Tapos Naka uniporme pa sila.. Disrespect nga yan!”
The said Boy Scouts had a video that went viral last year in May after netizen Mary Flor Adriano posted it on Facebook.
The two were wearing their Boy Scout uniforms while dancing girlishly, swaying their hips, and doing the cha cha at a camping site.
