No one can stop the rising popularity of AlDub, the newest love team of the Kapuso network. Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza have dominated social media since their tandem came into existence. They have definitely won the hearts of Filipinos.
While waiting for the two to meet, fans have been busy doing their own version of that fateful day. The Internet is full of edited photos showing the AlDub tandem together in various poses, like almost kissing each other, hugging, and holding hands. These fan efforts are proof that AlDub is the hottest love team today.
On August 9, 2015, the official fan club of AlDub (facebook.com/aldenandyayadub) posted a video in Facebook showing the two as the lead characters in a remake of the Koreanovela “My Love From The Star.” Alden is the alien heartthrob Matteo Do while the Queen of Punchline Maine is Steffi Cheon. The video had 332,000 views and 8,000 shares as of this writing.
Since everyone seems to welcome this imaginary remake, could this be the right time for the two lovebirds to meet? Or is GMA 7 looking for a bigger and better project for the AlDub love team? A movie perhaps? What do you think, AlDub lovers?
