Kapamilya actress and celebrity mom Judy Ann Santos was caught bursting into tears as she delivered her extro for her show, Paano Kita Pasasalamatan.
The veteran actress supposedly reacted this way when she learned about the retrenchment of ABS-CBN employees. ABS-CBN announced on Wednesday, July 15 that they were forced to lay off workers due to its shutdown. Congress earlier denied its application for a franchise renewal.
ABS-CBN writer Danica Domingo shared clips on Facebook showing Santos who suddenly turned emotional doing her spiels for the inspirational show “Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan.” She claimed that these were shot on the same day of ABS-CBN’s announcement of their retrenchment program.
“Gaano mang kahirap at gaano man kadilim ang pinagdadaanan natin ngayon, kapit lang. Wag tayong mawalan ng panananampalataya dahil darating at darating ang liwanag. At pagdating noon,’yon ang dapat nating ipagpasalamat.
“Ako po si Judy Ann Santos Agoncillo. Hanggang sa susunod. Maraming salamat at isang mahigpit na mahigpit na mahigpit na yakap mga Kapamilya,” she said in a cracked voice.
The Starla actress recently showed that she sympathized with the fate of ABS-CBN and its employees by sharing a photo of lit green, red, and blue candles arranged in a heart shape.
“Ang bawat storya.. may simula.. may gitna o tinatawag naming highlight ng pelikula o teleserye.. at may katapusan.. may bida, may kontrabida at meron ding bida-kontrabida.. hindi dito magtatapos ang storya namin.. simula pa lang ito.. #labankapamilya #SONAgkaisa,” she captioned.
