“Lip-Sync Battle”, the popular American reality TV program, will have a Filipino franchise that will air on GMA starting February 27.

Titled “Lip-Sync Battle Philippines”, the show will be hosted by Michael V and Iya Villania, and will pit GMA’s top celebrities against each other in hopes of impressing the audience with their lip-synching skills.
The game pits two celebrities against each other in a lip synch battle for two rounds: Round 1 is the ‘Strip Down’ and Round 2 is the ‘Full Blown Concert’. The celebrities can lip sync the song/s of their choice. Then the crowd determines the winner of the battle after the two rounds have been completed. The winner gets the bragging rights to be the Lip Sync Champion and gets the Lip Sync Champion Belt.
“Lip-Sync Battle Philippines” is under the direction of Rico Gutierrez.
According to Mark Whitehead, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia, Viacom International Media Networks, “Lip Sync Battle has received great interest globally and its appeal has not waned since its U.S. debut. The show is a sure hit format for any broadcaster looking to add an engaging co-viewing, cross-platform experience to their offerings. Regardless of age, gender, nationality or music taste, Lip Sync Battle is the ultimate people pleaser.”
