Derek Ramsay responded to a netizen who inquired about his plans of making a showbiz comeback.
The actor has been away from the limelight for quite a while now. His last TV project was in 2019 with the Kapuso series The Better Woman.
On January 29, Ramsay shared a post with his wife Ellen Adarna, while enjoying their movie night.
One netizen commented he missed the actor onscreen and wished the latter would take projects soon.
“I miss you sir Derek ramsay. Sana magkaproject ka na uli sa GMA. Dedma ka na lang sa mga negatrolls,” said the netizen with three heart eyes emojis.
Derek then gave a short reply saying, “Retired.”

Netizens then assumed the actor is not keen on returning to showbiz.
To recall, Derek’s exclusive contract with the GMA Network ended after he rejected multiple project offers.
In his interview with DZRH in January 2022, he admitted that he was the one who asked for the suspension of his contract. He said he wanted to focus on his family first, especially amid the pandemic.
In April 2021, Ramsay backed out from the Kapuso drama series, To Have and To Hold. Rocco Nacino took over his place with Abellana and Max Collins.
