In the virtual press conference of OA Sa Love in the USA on Monday, March 14, Paulo Avelino shared that he is planning to see his son Aki in New York when he flies to the United States in late March.
Aki is his son with former partner LJ Reyes, staying in New York since September 2021.
“Actually na-mention ko na sa mommy niya. Tinatanong lang kung ano ‘yung dates. Pero nando’n na rin ako, might as well see my son. I haven’t seen him since they left,” the Kapamilya actor said.
Avelino was also asked if he would bring his on-screen partner Janine Gutierrez with him when he meets his son.
He then joked, “Aki, nanay mo. ‘De joke lang.”
“Excited na excited na rin akong makausap ang anak ko kasi nag-i-school na rin do’n and everything,” the actor added.
Meanwhile, Contis was also teased by his manager Lolit Solis about him planning to visit his daughter with Reyes, Summer.
Contis responded, “Jusko! Di na nagbabago yung joke ni Nanay! Luma na! Hahaha!”
Solis replied, “Kung saan maligaya si Paolo, maligaya na ako! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
“Alam mo, si Paolo, isa sa mga alaga kong napakabait. Kahit anong ginagawa ko, tahimik lang siya.”
In September 2021, Reyes confirmed that she and Contis had indeed broken up after six years of being in a relationship. Yen Santos was blamed as the reason for their breakup.
On his birthday on Monday, March 14, rumors about Contis and Santos’ breakup spread online. Contis refused to comment about this.
He said, “Hay! Lahat na lang pinag-uusapan magka-content lang! Kaloka!”
