Crown Artist Management updated John Lloyd Cruz’s status with GMA Network in an interview on Tuesday, March 5.
Cruz is currently managed by Crown Artist Management, owned by Rambo Ortega, Maja Salvador, and Mikki Gonzalez.
“Actually, maraming nagpi-pitch sa kanya,” Ortega said. “We’re just looking for the right projects talaga, either on TV or movies. But yun, we’re in the process of accepting yung mga pitches. Kasi, he’s very particular with the script. So, parang before he even considers a project, kailangang makita niya yung script. Ahhm, para at least yung gagawin niya is really gonna be nice even sa mga viewers, yung mga fans niya na nag-aabang, para worthwhile talaga.”
Ortega clarified that Cruz could work with ABS-CBN, TV5, Cignal, GMA Network, or abroad. He also noted that the actor chooses projects with the best quality.
“Actually, hindi siya exclusive with anyone. He can work with ABS-CBN, TV5, Cignal, GMA, or abroad,” Ortega said. “Maraming opportunities and he is very open. At the end of the day, ang pinakaimportante talaga is the project. Kasi, if there’s one thing kasi na mae-emphasize with JL right now is… ang gusto niya, everything that he does — regardless kung TV ito, sitcom or movie — is best quality talaga.”
Cruz is currently seen in the sitcom Happy ToGetHer.

Ortega said, “Season 2 just started. Matagal-tagal pa siya. Like in fact, may mga plans to do it out of town, probably out of country if everything permits. Pero yun, it’s gonna be more and more exciting. I think, nakikita naman ng mga viewers yun na even yung ratings, e, going up. Consistent siya. Because ang daming surprises, e.
“I think yun ang sample ng sinasabi ko kanina na yung quality talaga, very particular si Lloydie, para hindi siya yung parang isang project na makakalimutan kaagad. Like ito, sitcom lang, pero makikita mo yung tatak-JLC.”
Cruz is set to return to the big screen with Jasmine Curtis-Smith as his lead actress. The shooting for the film will start in May or June 2022.
