Kapuso comedienne Pokwang took to social media to defend Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
This after notorious Marcos Jr supporter and prime basher of VP Leni Robredo Daryl Yap released his latest Vincentiments video, this time attacking Mayor Joy Belmonte in favor of her opponent Mike Defensor.
On May 1, Yap uploaded the video on his Vincentiments Facebook page with the caption “Mike Defensor for Quezon City Mayor!”
The video featured another Kapuso comedienne Aiai delas Alas, in Mayora Ligaya Delmonte’s fictional character depicting Joy in a bad light.
Delas Alas is a known proud Marcos Jr. and Defensor supporter who even said that BBM stands for Bongbong-Mike.
Meanwhile, Yap and Aiai’s latest ad quickly gets the ire of the netizens.
Pokwang while not mentioning the video slammed Defensor in a tweet and defended QC Mayor Belmonte.

Pokwang was recently pitted again against Aiai delas Alas.
In a recent Facebook exchange, Pokwang slammed comedian DJ Durano for saying she should stop dreaming like she’s Aiai delas Alas because she’s nothing compared to Aiai.
“Sa ABS CBN lang napansin Yan, feeling nya Aiai (Delas Alas) sya, ang layo maryosep,” said Durano.
“Woohoo Dios mio!! feeling sikat ako??? nag fi feeling Ai Ai ako??? Hahahahhaa unang una Oo sikat ako kumpara sayo tah ka plastik ka!!! ikaw laging sabit lang sa movie ng namayapa kong mahal na direktor kasi nga nagagalit ka kapag hindi ka kasama sa mga proyekto nya! kapal ng mukha mo! kung sino man mga friend nya dito paki paabot sa kanya ito plastik sya!!” Pokwang’s reply.
Meanwhile, in her recent interview, Pokwang also expressed her reaction to those pitting her against Aiai, especially in this election.
According to Pokwang she’s used to it with or without election but she’s not bothered by it. She also clarified that there’s no personal rift between her and Aiai.
“Naku kahit naman hindi election, basta maglalabas ako ng opinion ko lagi akong naaano. At least nasabi ko nararamdaman ko, nasa sainyo naman kung anong interpretasyon nyo, diba. Pero sanay na ako dyan.”
“Sa mga tao lang naman. Pero kung nakikita nyo kame sa hanapbuhay namin masaya po kaming nagtatrabaho. Masaya po kaming kumikita….Tsaka wala kameng ganun-ganun, hindi tama, ang tatanda na namin para mag ganyan-ganyan, diba?”
