The need to address the worsening climate crisis cannot be any more understated, with the glaring consequences of our negligence becoming increasingly apparent.
In connection with their effort, and to help them introduce their projects to Filipinos, PCER Foundation is partnering with the upcoming streaming platform, AQ Prime.
The move is to help expedite the process of conveying their message of saving the environment. To make sure their plans work out, a special concert featuring K-pop artists is to be held at Philippine Arena. Top Korean idols and singers are said to be invited to grace the event, where the promotion of environmental protection will be highlighted. MBC Broadcasting station in South Korea is signed up to air the event.
One of the global goals needed to arrest these lethal consequences is achieving carbon neutrality. It is when carbon emission and absorption attain balance. There have been efforts across the world to meet this goal, but getting there requires more aggressive and collective action.
The Primary Certified Emission Reduction or PCER Foundation was established to solve the climate crisis caused by global warming, and speed up the process of attaining carbon neutrality. The foundation has set up various relevant projects to meet the goal, including water turbine generators, which are very helpful to lessen our dependency on fossil fuels. Projects to reduce greenhouse gases like marine waste collection and treatment, blue carbon, livestock manure treatment, and recycling, are also being carried out by the foundation. Carbon emission rights are also issued for compensation.
Known as carbon credits, these carbon emission rights are building the world’s first platform to enable individual transactions. It is a noble effort to hasten our journey towards global carbon neutrality.
Water turbine generators are seen to help the Philippines become an eco-friendly energy hub in the future, and allow the country to be a model country for carbon neutrality. 1 MwH of electricity is expected to be produced anytime and with about 20 sq. m. of space, making it a high yield, efficient, and superior power generator. Mountainous locations where electric supply is rarely stable, are seen to massively benefit from it. The power produced from these turbine generators can be used to power up electric cars and other vehicles.
Beyond the concert, PCER Foundation and AQ Prime have plans to expand their partnership and the scope of their projects. Waste collection and recycling will be a top priority. As the value of the peso depreciates, PCER is introducing what they call PCER coins to address the financial losses due to exchange costs.
These environmental coins can be used to replace the dollar when sending money. It can be acquired through participating in any practical business that saves the environment. It is worth noting that because the coin is used as a means of trading carbon credits, it keeps its substance intact even during offline transactions, which makes it different from cryptocurrencies.
AQ Prime’s streaming services are slated to go online before the end of the month. AQ Prime Stream and Directors’’s Cut by AQ is expected to offer exciting original content for Filipino viewers.
