Digital travel platform Agoda reveals today the top trending destinations now that international travel is slowly becoming the norm again. Travelers are dusting off their suitcases and ready to embrace a trip somewhere different than the past two years.

As taking trips are becoming the norm again, Philippine travelers are keen to explore a plethora of cultures, as their top 5 global destinations include Singapore, Thailand, the United States, Malaysia, and France. Meanwhile, in terms of domestic travel, top destinations range from metros such as Manila and Cebu, to the magnificent beaches abundant in Boracay, to the road trip-friendly Baguio and Bohol.

Globally, Bangkok takes the number one spot in 2022. With travel rules almost entirely relaxed, the bustling city has embraced travelers offering nightlife, beaches, temples, culture, and cuisine. Other Asian gems that take top 5 spots accordingly are Jeju Island, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, and Seoul. Manila lands at the 9th spot among top global destinations thanks to an influx of tourists as well as global Pinoys returning home for vacation.
