During the recent presser of Love Bites Season Two on April 20, Kaila Estrada shared a valuable lesson she learned from her celebrity mom Janice de Belen–in choosing to be in love with oneself.
“Love is a choice. But I feel like the worst thing you can do is ‘pag nagmamahal ka is makalimutan mo ‘yung sarili mo,” Kaila emphasized.
“I feel like you need to learn how to love yourself also. Kasi siyempre hindi mo mabibigay ‘yung love na gusto mo, hindi magiging healthy ‘yung love na maibibigay mo kung hindi mo uunahin na mahalin ang sarili mo.”
Estrada further explained that loving oneself can teach individuals how to love someone else better.
“My mom taught me to choose myself, and I’ll forever, forever be grateful to her for teaching me that. I really do think it is important, of course kailangan mo alagaan ang sarili mo, and loving yourself will teach you how to love somebody else better also,” Kaila shared.
As the third daughter of de Belen with former husband John Estrada, Kaila is no stranger to the public eye.
Kaila will star in an upcoming episode of Love Bites Season 2, Closure along with Joao Constancia and Chie Filomeno.
Love Bites Season Two, produced by RCD Narratives, the group behind popular shows such as MMK, Killer Bride, A Soldier’s Heart, and Viral Scandal. Kevin Alambra and Raz dela Torre will direct it.
