On May 5, Beks Battalion members MC Muah, Lassy Marquez, and Chad Kinis hoped to find the same kind of love as Vice Ganda.
At the media conference for Beks Days of Our Lives, which LionhearTV covered, Beks Battalion members all agreed they would love to have the same kind of relationship as the Unkabogable comedian.
“Oo naman,” said Muah, Marquez, and Kinis.
Marquez added, “Karamihan sa amin, oo.”
Kinis agreed stating, “‘Yung someone na talagang na tatanggapin ka.”
“Yung proud na proud sayo,” Marquez noted.
Muah recounted the advice Vice shared with his peers regarding maintaining a relationship.
“Marami eh, marami siyang ina-advice, lalo na ngayon di ba? Sabi niyang ganon, kapag happy ka, go. Kapag nasasaktan ka na, bitaw na.”
Muah recounted how Vice’s advice changed through the years.
“Tapos sabi nga niya, lagi niyang sinasabi–dati noong bagets, bagets pa kami. Lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘Naku, hindi bagay sayo ‘yan. Ganyan-ganyan.’
“Ngayon na medyo mature-mature na kami, lagi niyang inaano na, ‘Hindi ko pwedeng kontrahin kung sino ang mahal mo ngayon, kasi hindi ‘yung magpapasaya sa akin eh, hindi ko alam kung magpapasaya rin sayo.”
However, one thing remained the same. And it was Vice’s commitment to being there for his friends when they get their hearts broken.
“Basta nandito lang ako, kapag nasaktan ka, andito lang ako. Pero kahit sino pa ‘yang maging partner mo. Go lang basta sa tingin mo masaya ka diyan. Pag nasaktan ka nandito lang kami.'”
As for Vice, he’s currently in a relationship with Ion Perez, who he met in 2018. Vice revealed their relationship status in 2019.
Then in 2021, Vice and Ion had a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, and only revealed it through a vlog in February 2022.
As for Beks Battalion’s Viva comedy-drama film, Beks Days of Our Lives stars Muah, Kinis, and Marquez.
Joining the Beks Battalion stars are John ‘Sweet’ Lapus, Debbie Garcia, Ruby Ruiz, John Flores, Pepita Curtis, Divine Tetay, Tonton Soriano, Axel Torres, Kirst Viray, Yuki Zakamoto, and Raven Molina.
Directed by Kinis, Beks Days of Our Lives opens in cinemas nationwide this May 17.
