Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) recently signed a partnership with Mapua University Makati to enhance the University’s upcoming Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Under the agreement, MakatiMed will assist in the enrichment of Mapua University Makati’s BS Nursing program through the provision of clinical exposure for their students. “MakatiMed and Mapua University share the same aspirations, and the hospital ensures that whatever the university has taught its students will be complemented and enhanced in an application setting,” said MakatiMed President and CEO, Atty. Pilar Nenuca P. Almira. For his part, Mapua University President and CEO, Reynaldo B. Vea, PhD expressed, “We are just as excited to partner with MakatiMed, to have our students come over, and learn from the premier medical center of the country.”
The collaboration aims to create a curriculum that can prepare students in meeting the standards of the healthcare industry. This is a significant step forward in advancing nursing education in the University and at the same time underscores Makati Medical Center’s mission to provide the highest quality healthcare experience for everyone.
