Heaven Peralejo talks about the ‘real status’ of her relationship with Marco Gallo

On July 22, Viva artist Heaven Peralejo talked about the ‘real status’ of her relationship with Marco Gallo.

At the media conference for ‘The Ship Show,’ which LionhearTV covered, Peralejo asserted that if she and Gallo had a romantic relationship, she would prefer to keep it private.

“Kami ni Marco– ako personally, kung mayroon man something sa amin and kung ano man ‘yung status namin, if mayroon, I would’ve kept it sa amin lang. I guess kung ano ‘yung mga napo-post namin sa social media, what you see is what you get. Pero, the status itself, kung ano man kami, I’d rather keep it to our selves. That’s my take.”

As for Gallo, he wanted to respect Peralejo’s decision to remain silent about the nature of their relationship.

“She’s the boss. No, no, I’m being honest–the thing is, she’s going to get mad at me. Do we want that? No.

“It’s not about being dependent– it’s about respecting her choice.”

Peralejo also highlighted the benefit of having a love team.

“I think one of the perks in being a love team, of course, comfortable ka na sa kasama mo. Alam na niya ‘yung mood swings mo, alam na niya ‘yung galaw mo. Parang if you’re comfortable, if you’re not.”

However, she clarified that she and Gallo have a flexible working arrangement that allows them to work on their solo careers.

“Pero sa amin kasi ni Marco, ‘yung love team naman namin, it doesn’t necessarily mean naman na kami ‘yung dapat laging magkatrabaho. Super flexible naman. Like ako, I’m having a project on my own, he also has a project on his own.

“And ‘yung love team, ‘yung mga fans noon, of course, they will support us individually and together which is ‘yun naman ‘yung pinakamaganda. Hindi siya nakakasakal, it’s more of a supporting love team. And if it supports our career, why not?

“If in time, mapag-isipan namin, ‘You know, maybe we should like try to be solo artists. And I would’ve accept it and I would’ve said yes with the support of Marco’s team.’ So hindi lang siya love team or solo, I think both siya.”

Gallo surmised that Filipino viewers support love teams because of their relatability.

“It’s not love team sells sa Pilipinas. It’s more of when you’re in a love team. You’re able to portray something na makaka-relate ‘yung tao kasi lahat naman tayo nagmamahal di ba? And Filipinos are always full of love and love watching love movies and dramas.

“That’s why there are so many drama series sa panghapon, sa pang-gabi. So it’s not about the love team– it’s about– it’s something that people can relate to– if [you’re going to] bring something real.”

As for their upcoming film, Gallo and Peralejo star in the Viva Films flick ‘The Ship Show.’

The cast also features Rabin Angeles, Bianca Santos, PJ Rosario, Angelic Guzman, Janine Teñoso, Migo Valid, Madeleine Red, Martin Venegas, Ashtine Olviga, and Tomas Rodriguez.

The Viva Films movie, under the direction of Jason Paul Laxamana, opens in cinemas starting August 9.
