After more than 6 years, Kapuso actor Mikael Daez finally confirmed his relationship with another Kapuso star Megan Young.
He gladly announced: “I’ve been with Megan Young for 6 years and first time kong inaamin ‘yan. This is the first time I’m putting it in record.”
The actor revealed the reasons on why he chose to stay quiet about his relationship for more than 6 years.
He admitted that GMA network advised him keep mum about their relationship. He further said that he was concerned about the effect it could bring to his love team with Andrea Torres. Plus, Young was a Kapamilya back then until she had won the coveted Miss World crown.
Although it took 6 years to confirm their romantic relationship, the couple was seen together in several public places.
Daez thanked the press who became his friends for not sensationalizing their relationship in the past 6 years.
Moreover, Daez said he’s proud that his relationship with Young has been doing well in 6 years. And although there are many things that happened, Daez is convinced their relationship will last longer.
When asked about their marriage, Daez said that he and Young are still enjoying their relationship.
“Hindi naman ako papasok sa relationship kung hindi may long term potential. Pero siyempre, enjoy every moment of it,” he said during the grand press conference of GMA network’s newest afternoon series, “Legally Blind,” where he will play a lawyer and a love interest of his new leading lady Janine Gutierrez.
