The segment ‘EXpecially For You’ became a topic of discussion among netizens due to Vice Ganda’s poignant advice on dealing with toxic friendships and cherishing loved ones.
The conversation began when the hosts delved into the story of Micko and his ex-partner Marila. Upon learning about Micko’s toxic friends, Vice Ganda didn’t shy away from sharing his thoughts.
For the Unkabogable Star, he made it clear that he wouldn’t tolerate being kind to friends who disrespect his significant other.
“Hindi ako magiging mabait sa iyo habang winawalang hiya mo asawa ko. Hindi. I will give back the same energy. Makakaasa ka. Hindi ako ganun kabait na.”
He also stressed the importance of establishing boundaries, asserting, “I will protect this space (‘di ba). Hindi ako lalabas para sa inyo. Hindi rin kayo makakapasok. Proprotektahan ko itong espasyong ito.”
Drawing from personal experiences, Vice empathized with Micko’s situation and advised him to remain resilient and acknowledge his mistakes towards his loved one.
“Kailangan mong magiging matatag at ma-realize iyon kasi nangyari rin sa akin ‘yan eh. ‘Baka hindi magustuhan ng audience. Baka talikuran yung career ko’ Ginulo din ako, ginulo din ‘yung utak ko hanggang sa (sinabi ko nang) ‘hindi.'”
Kim Chiu also chimed in on the discussion, highlighting the significance of respecting the loved ones of friends and recognizing their importance in one’s life.
“YIrerespeto mo dapat ‘yung mahal ng taong mahal mo o taong mahalaga sa iyo para ma-realize mo na lang na ‘Ah tama pala sila,’ – parang ganun.”
