Ivana Alawi’s talent manager, Perry Lansigan, has addressed recent rumors suggesting that the actress will be removed from the hit action-drama series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ due to alleged attitude issues and a lack of interaction with her colleagues on set.
Speculation began circulating on social media after a screenshot, allegedly from Ivana’s personal assistant, suggested that Ivana had already completed her final taping day for the series. The reasons cited included her refusal to extend her working hours and only interacting with the show’s director, Coco Martin.
These rumors gained further traction during an episode of ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ where it was alleged that Ivana was displaying diva-like behavior on set.
Additionally, a teaser featuring a “black rider” girl led netizens to speculate that former Kapuso actress Kim Domingo might be replacing Ivana.
In response to these claims, DJ Jhai Ho spoke with Lansigan on the Teleradyo Serbisyo program ‘Showbiz Sidelines.’ Lansigan clarified that Ivana’s initial commitment to ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ was for only three months, starting after Lovi Poe’s departure from the series following her wedding.
Due to the popularity of Ivana’s character and her on-screen chemistry with Coco Martin’s character, her stay was extended several times.
However, Lansigan explained that Ivana’s current schedule is packed with prior commitments, making further extensions impossible. He emphasized that they had already made significant adjustments to accommodate the taping schedule for ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’
“From the very start na ininquire si Ivana Alawi ng Batang Quiapo, three months lang talaga dapat ang pag-stay sa nasabing teleserye. Three months ang kanilang napagkasunduan. Umokay si Ivana. Ito ‘yong time at kasagsagan na ikinasal daw si Lovi Poe. Pero dahil nag-click ang tambalan ni Bubbles at Tanggol, na-extend. Nadagdagan pa ng maraming taping, at ang three months ay na-extend nang na-extend nang na-extend,” Lansigan said via DJ Jhai Ho.
“Hanggang sa hindi na po kinaya ng schedule bilang meron din pong mga prior commitments si Ivana na naoohan ng kaniyang management. May mga shoot, vlogs, etc. Hindi na kakayanin talaga ni Ivana.”

Lansigan also denied the rumors that Ivana had already finished her taping for the series, confirming that she is still scheduled to film until Friday, July 12. Additionally, he refuted claims of Ivana displaying attitude problems on set.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the management of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ regarding Ivana’s character’s potential departure from the series.
