After two weeks of low ratings, Kapamilya’s noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” is showing signs of recovery.

According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, “It’s Showtime” has returned to its usual ratings after hitting a low of 6.6 percent on August 16, 2024, and further dipping to 6.4 percent on August 20, 2024.

On Monday, September 2, the Vice Ganda-led show bounced back with an 8.7 percent rating, placing 9th overall. Its rival, “EAT…Bulaga,” garnered 4.5 percent, landing in the 15th spot.

On Tuesday, September 3, “It’s Showtime” saw a slight drop to 8.2 percent but maintained its 9th position, while “EAT…Bulaga” held steady at 4.5 percent, moving up to 14th place.

By Wednesday, September 4, “It’s Showtime” slipped again to 8.1 percent but remained the noontime leader, beating “EAT…Bulaga,” which dropped to 4.2 percent.

On Thursday, September 5, “It’s Showtime” maintained its 8.1 percent rating, further extending its lead over “EAT…Bulaga,” which fell to 3.5 percent.

Finally, on Friday, September 6, “It’s Showtime” saw a slight recovery, increasing to 8.3 percent, while “EAT…Bulaga” also improved to 3.7 percent.

The improvement in “It’s Showtime’s” ratings has been attributed to new segments like “Kalokalike Face 4” and the trivia game “Throwbox,” which replaced the former popular segment “EXpecially For You.”

Will “It’s Showtime” continue its upward trend, or will it slip back to lower ratings? Time will tell.
