Quezon City 1st District Representative and award-winning actor Arjo Atayde has addressed and debunked recent rumors regarding his wife, Maine Mendoza, which claimed she is pregnant.
During a thanksgiving event on September 13, 2024, Arjo clarified that the rumors are false. The speculation arose after Maine’s recent absence from the show ‘Eat Bulaga,’ leading to widespread chatter about her supposed pregnancy.
Arjo explained that the couple’s recent absence was due to a vacation celebrating their first wedding anniversary. “Ay hindi po, it’s just really a vacation for our first wedding anniversary,” he stated. While the couple has discussed the possibility of starting a family, Arjo emphasized that there is no current announcement regarding a pregnancy.
“I just have some priorities for now, ‘cause elections are coming. In due time. That’s one thing of course, that we’re looking forward to, to have our own family,” he added.

In other news, Arjo Atayde recently received international recognition for his acting. He was awarded Best Male Lead in a TV Program/Series at the 2024 ContentAsia Awards for his portrayal of Anton dela Rosa in the Filipino crime-thriller series ‘Cattleya Killer.’
The series, which premiered globally on Prime Video on June 1, 2023, has been celebrated for its intense and engaging narrative, high production quality, and standout performances. Arjo’s role as Anton dela Rosa has been noted for its depth and complexity.
