Fans of Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana will be happy to note that they had something to look forward to come June. The reel and real couple are currently taping episodes of the romantic-comedy series entitled “I Heart Davao.”
It’s going to be an eight episode featuring Tom and Carla to be supported by Benjamin Alves and the funny tandem of Betong Sumaya and Maey Bautista. “I Heart Davao” will be replacing “Meant To Be” on GMA 7 primetime. Marlon Rivera directs this much awaited reunion of Tom and Carla.
Tom had been in hiatus for months, recovering from mourning after his father passed away early this March. It’s only recently that Tom came home from the US where his family are based.
In the meantime, catch Carla as Aviona (reprising the original role of Bianca King in Mulawin) and Tom as Rodrigo in the GMA action-fantasy series Mulawin vs. Ravena when it opens on May 22, replacing Encantadia.
