The Kapamilya actor’s past addiction to alcohol has long been an open secret.
Has Baron Geisler overcome alcohol addiction yet? The actor’s journey to sobriety has inspired many, with his successful return to primetime television and streak of acting projects, considered by some as remarkable feats. But it seems relapse has found him, and now he is back to his old ways.
Local Cebu news outlet, Bombo Radyo, reported yesterday, night, that the Incognito actor, was in fact, jailed for a few hours in the city of Manduae. The report claims Geisler threw a tantrum after getting extremely drunk.
Mandaue City Police spokesperson Lt. Mercy Villaro told in an interview, that Geisler was apprehended due to violation of the city’s ordinance against extreme intoxication.
The actor, however, was only temporarily jailed as his violation was only considered a demeanor, costing him a measly ₱500.00 bail. His wife, Jamie Marie Evangelista, was there to assist him.
In a recent interview, Geisler admitted that his path to sobriety has not been very easy. “Sobriety is a lifelong journey, and hindi siya laging madali. There are moments when I get tested, but I remind myself why I chose this path — family, faith, purpose, “ he shared.
Currently, no statement has been issued by the actor and his camp, on the matter yet.
