Mike Williams and Eirik Næss deliver pure sunshine with their new single “Learn to Fly,” a vibrant blend of dance music, country flair, and tropical house influences. Written during an unforgettable trip to Bali, the track captures the essence of freedom, adventure, and living in the moment. Surrounded by palm trees and island breezes, the duo recorded the song poolside with a guitar and a simple setup, channeling an effortless, feel-good energy.

“We just wrote exactly what we were feeling in that moment,” says Mike Williams. Driven by catchy melodies, soaring vocals, and an irresistible beat, “Learn to Fly” is an uplifting anthem about letting go of fear and chasing life’s highs without hesitation. With its infectious hooks and sun-soaked production, “Learn to Fly” cements Mike Williams and Eirik Næss as a powerhouse pairing for the global dance music scene.

“We wrote the track in Bali. By the pool at a villa, with drinks, a guitar, and a simple recording setup. We just wrote exactly what we were feeling in that moment, and those are often the most fun songs.” – Mike Williams

“The song came together supernaturally during a trip to Mike’s villa in Bali. The second we got there, we started vibing on the idea of doing something with a bit of a country flare – but with a tropical twist. Being surrounded by palm trees, warm nights, and that laid-back island energy, it added this sun-soaked, feel-good vibe to everything. We tracked the whole thing by the pool, beers in hand, just soaking in the moment. That whole “live life now, no excuses” energy really shaped the lyrics. It’s about letting go of fear, chasing highs, and going all in—no holding back. Just felt right.” – Eirik Næss

Mike Williams

Mike Williams’s breakthrough came in 2017 as his hit “Feel Good,” a collab with Felix Jaehn, went sky high on radio, in playlists, and streams, and has gathered so far over 160M streams on Spotify. “The Beat” (83M) and “Wait Another Day” with Mesto (over 110M) followed and turned into huge hits as well. Piece by piece, Mike is conquering the world with his incredible melodies, club bangers, and catchy radio hits. For every new song that Mike begins, the piano is the solid start and base. Because of that recognizable style and sound he created, he got to play at the most famous festivals, such as Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, World Club Dome, and Mysteryland, among others. Even during the pandemic, Mike found himself behind his decks. He flies around the world and tours Taiwan, Nepal, and China, but he also does not skip Europe, such as Croatia, Switzerland, and many other countries. When he’s back home from touring through the US, Canada, Asia, or Europe, you can find the down-to-earth Dutchie in his studio in Hilversum. But even on tour, he always finds a way to dive into the studio, whether it is a day off or during a writing session in Ibiza, Stockholm, or London, for example.

Eirik Næss

Eirik Næss is an artist, songwriter, and musician based in Oslo, Norway. In 2016 he made it to the finals of Norwegian Idol. Originally known for his work as a session guitarist, Eirik transitioned into a solo artist and topliner in 2020, quickly making a name for himself in both the Norwegian and international music scenes. His song Wave gained nationwide recognition, earning a 10-week A-list placement on Norway’s biggest radio station, NRK P1. Beyond his own artist project, Eirik has collaborated with international names like Alan Walker, Blanks, MOTi, Da Tweekaz, Julie Bergan, and more. His songwriting has also expanded into the K-pop and Asian markets, with multiple releases as a writer. With over a million monthly listeners on Spotify, Eirik continues to push boundaries, traveling the world to write and record new music.
