GMA Network officially unveiled its newest primetime action-drama ‘Sanggang Dikit FR (SDFR),’ top-billed by real-life couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado, and the show wasted no time making its mark.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People ratings, SDFR kicked off strong, leading its timeslot against Kapamilya rival ‘Incognito.’
The series debuted on Monday, June 23, with an 8.2 percent rating (including 1.1 percent from delayed telecast), pulling ahead of Incognito which scored 7.6 percent. It’s worth noting that SDFR also surpassed the pilot rating of its predecessor ‘Mga Batang Riles,’ which only managed 7.6 percent during its debut in the same timeslot.
In its gripping premiere, viewers were introduced to police officers Bobby Enriquez (Jennylyn) and Antonio Conde (Dennis), whose unlikely partnership is put to the test during a high-risk mission to stop a gang of museum looters. While they succeed in the operation, sparks fly, not of the romantic kind, but of clashing personalities, as Bobby calls out Antonio for being “mayabang.”
Alongside the real-life couple tandem, the series is also joined by a star-studded cast featuring Chanty Videla, Nova Villa, Al Tantay, Joross Gamboa, Allen Dizon, Alex Medina, and Glydel Mercado. Also joining the ensemble are Juancho Triviño, Kim Ji Soo, Sam Pinto, and viral sensation “Lumpia Queen” Abi Marquez.
On its second night, Tuesday, June 24, SDFR held its lead with an even stronger 8.6 percent rating (1.2 percent from delayed telecast), continuing to edge out Incognito, which posted 8.1 percent.
With explosive action, character drama, and undeniable chemistry, Sanggang Dikit FR is quickly shaping up as GMA Prime’s next big hit.
