Speculation has been swirling online about the real score between Atasha Muhlach, daughter of showbiz royalty Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez, and Jacob “Jake” Ang, youngest son of San Miguel Corporation (SMC) president and CEO Ramon S. Ang.
The rumors gained traction after eagle-eyed netizens noticed Jacob frequently liking Atasha’s Instagram posts and occasionally reposting her content—including the trailer of her TV5 series ‘Bad Genius’ last June 15, 2025. Fans also pointed out that the two follow each other on Instagram, with Atasha’s twin brother Andres also engaging with Jacob’s posts.
Adding fuel to the buzz, Jacob was spotted in group photos with the Muhlach family—reportedly even joining them on a Hong Kong trip. One such photo was said to have been posted (and later deleted) by Aga himself.
Recently, Jacob was again seen with the Muhlach family at what appeared to be an advance birthday celebration for Aga, who turns 56 on August 12. In a photo shared by a showbiz site, Jacob was positioned behind Atasha, prompting more curiosity from fans.
Addressing the rumors, Ramon Ang himself clarified his son’s relationship with Atasha when asked by media during a press conference on flood solutions in Metro Manila.
“Si Atasha is a very nice lady, napakabait at napakaganda sobra,” Ang said. “Kaibigan ng anak kong si Jacob.”
Observers note that Atasha and Jacob also share a common interest in golf, which could explain their closeness.
When asked directly about the matter, Aga Muhlach chose not to respond, simply “seeing” the messages sent to him via Instagram and Facebook Messenger. Those familiar with the actor say that if he’s not directly involved, he usually advises, “Tanungin mo nang direkta.”
So far, Atasha herself has not mentioned having a suitor or boyfriend in interviews.
According to Esquire Philippines’ May 2025 cover story, Jacob serves as special assistant to the chairman of SMC and is active in several of its subsidiaries. He is director and chief planning officer of Velocita Motors Inc., the official importer, dealer, and distributor of Ferrari in the Philippines, and is also involved in BMW Philippines through SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp.
Outside of corporate work, Jacob is an avid motorsports enthusiast who competes in international racing events.
