Did you know that before she became the next Darna, Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano was supposed to record for an album?
During her interview with the press, Liza revealed that her plan to record songs for her album was scrapped due to her busy schedule. She elaborated, “Yes, it was said before that I was going to but because I became busy with Dolce Amore and with My Ex and Whys, we weren’t able to push through with it because if ever I were to release an album, I would like to be very hands-on with it.”
Liza also stressed, “Gusto ko talaga, ako ang pipili sa mga songs, whether originals ito or covers.” If and when the album pushes through, the millenial Darna shared she will be very detailed in creating her album.
“Kasi it will unleash the other side of me po so I really want it to be special. Hopefully soon, matuloy na po (’yung album),” she said.
The 20-year-old then shared her favorite genre and artist: “Most of the songs that I like are pop tunes but I also like rap and R&B but I don’t think I would be able to sing them. I know rap is very difficult, it requires a lot of passion.
Like for example Eminem, all of his songs convey a message while some are very personal. I find it tricky but that’s why parang it challenges me also.”
She also expressed her bias towards international singers Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande. As for the local singers, Liza confessed, “I prefer the music of KZ Tandingan and Yeng Constantino.”
Meanwhile, Liza is currently on training to achieve the perfect body like Darna. She will be wearing the red-and-white costume as soon as cameras for “Darna 2018” starts rolling.
