Alvin Aragon continues to stand by his religious beliefs regarding the LGBTQIA+ community despite mounting backlash from netizens and celebrities.

In a new interview uploaded on February 19, 2026, on the YouTube vlog of content creator Cris Rafael, Aragon directly named several celebrity parents — including K Brosas, Ian Veneracion, and Gloc-9 — while discussing sexual orientation and parenting.
The discussion arose in the context of his stepchild, Sofia Trazona, a transgender woman also known as Andrei Trazona, the eldest child of former SexBomb member Izzy Trazona. Sofia’s biological father is Michael Navarro, founder of the dance group Philippine Island Assassins.
In the interview, Aragon did not deny Sofia’s earlier revelation that he once physically disciplined her.
“Minsan napitserahan ko yon… E, kasi ang tigas ng ulo. Kapag matigas ang ulo mo, medyo nagle-level up ang disiplina,” he said.
He attributed Sofia’s gender identity to her childhood environment, claiming she was raised primarily by her grandmother and aunt during her early years.
“Ang mga bata, parang sponge yan ng panlinis ng pinggan. Sipsip lang nang sipsip ng tubig at saka ng sabon.
“Ngayon, si Andrei, anong nasipsip, yung pagiging malambot ni Lola,” Aragon stated, implying that the absence of a male figure influenced Sofia’s identity.
He also questioned the role of Sofia’s biological father, suggesting that consistent paternal guidance might have changed her path.
Aragon further criticized public figures who openly support their LGBTQIA+ children.
Gloc-9 previously wrote the song ‘Sirena,’ widely known to have been inspired by his child. K Brosas and Ian Veneracion have also publicly expressed support for their respective daughters who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Aragon maintained that, in his belief, homosexuality goes against biblical teachings and insisted that encouraging it is wrong.
“Kumusta, world? Pinapalakpakan natin yung mali. Ine-encourage niyo pa. Sasabihin niyo love yon, i-accept?”
His statements have intensified public discourse, with critics calling out his views as discriminatory, while supporters argue he is merely expressing religious conviction.
Other celebrity parents who have openly supported their LGBTQIA+ children include Sharon Cuneta, Kiko Pangilinan, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ricky Davao, Dennis Padilla, Leandro Muñoz, Dolly Anne Carvajal, and Lea Salonga.
As of writing, the named personalities have not released new responses to Aragon’s latest remarks.
