Japanese Trio Omoinotake Announce Third Album To Come Out This Fall Alongside Nationwide Tour

Japanese piano trio Omoinotake announced they will release its third major-label album this fall, followed by a 14-date nationwide tour including three overseas performances in Asia. The group revealed this at its first-ever solo concert at Tokyo’s historic Nippon Budokan venue, a sold-out event underlining how prominent the group have become.

The outfit will offer a first preview of what its third full-length has in store when they release “Petrichor” featuring Daisuke Ozasa of Japanese rock group Official HIGE DANdism on April 1.

Omoinotake debuted the song with Ozasa during the Budokan performance. It is inspired by loud rock and emo, musical roots shared by both artists. The track marks the first time Omoinotake has featured a guitarist in their music. The song reflects on memories and landscapes shared side by side, expressing the depth of relationships that can only be understood with the passage of time.

More details about the single and Omoinotake’s 2026 tour — featuring shows in Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul — can be seen below. Further information will be announced via Omoinotake’s official website and social media.

All of this follows big steps forward from the trio in recent times. Their song “Ikoku Kounen”, released in January 2024 as the theme song for the TBS Tuesday drama Eye Love You, has surpassed 600 million cumulative streams, becoming one of the most iconic love songs of 2024. Their January 2025 release “Wonderland,” featured in a commercial for Universal Studios Japan, has also gained significant attention on social media. The Budokan show further captured how far they have come, and celebrated the moment with the largest backing band they’ve performed with to date, featuring string and horn sections alongside expanded percussion.
