Comedian and social media personality Inah Evans has denied rumors of a falling out with Vice Ganda following reports that the Unkabogable Star is no longer managing her career.
Speculation recently surfaced online after some netizens noticed that Vice was no longer handling Inah’s career, prompting questions about the status of their relationship.
However, Inah quickly put the rumors to rest.
“Okay kami ni Meme Vice,” she said during a recent press conference.
Rather than dwell on the rumors, Inah expressed nothing but gratitude toward the person she considers instrumental in her journey into showbiz.
“I think hindi ito mangyayare kung hindi niya [Vice Ganda] ako pinaniwalaan before. Wala ako makita way para maka-penetrate sa showbiz kung hindi ako binuild up at tinulungan ni Meme,” she shared.
Inah recalled how Vice gave her a major break during the pandemic after discovering her talent online.
“Noong pandemic lang ako nagka-break para makapasok ng showbiz. Siya nagbigay noon and in-offer-an niya ako ng management.”
The comedian admitted she was initially shocked when Vice personally reached out to her.
“Noong kinuha pa lang niya ako — tanong ko agad ‘ma bakit ako?’ ganon conversation namin. Sabi niya long ago may naniwala sa kanya before. Tapos never niya nasuklian ‘yun so gusto niya pay forward through me,” she recalled.
Known to many as ‘Baklang Kanal,’ Inah rose to popularity through her hilarious impersonations of veteran actor-comedian Roderick Paulate. Her viral videos eventually caught the attention of Vice, who helped open doors for her in the entertainment industry.
Despite no longer being under Vice’s management, Inah said she continues to live by one of the most valuable lessons she learned from the comedian-host.
“Parang for a caliber of Vice pulutin ako, ang bigat lang. Sinabi niya sa akin ‘maraming ilaw, malaki entablado, kasiya tayong lahat.’ Hangang ngayon dala ko ‘yun, kasiya tayo lahat.”
She added that the advice continues to guide her both professionally and personally.
“Maganda siyang mantra sa buhay. Nagagamit mo — kapag nakikita mo si ganto, bago lang pero ang dami agad project, papalakpak ka lang. Pag may kailangan ng tulong, ‘di mo iisipin ma-upstage ka niyan.”
Inah also shrugged off the ongoing speculation about her relationship with Vice, choosing instead to focus on her upcoming career milestone.
The comedian is currently busy preparing for her first-ever solo comedy concert, ‘The Baklang Kanal Show Live!’, scheduled on July 10 at 8 p.m. at the Music Museum in San Juan City.
Aside from comedy performances and musical numbers, the show is expected to feature personal stories about perseverance, authenticity, and chasing dreams.
Meanwhile, fans have begun speculating about possible surprise guests during the event, including Vice Ganda herself and perhaps even Roderick Paulate, whose iconic persona helped inspire one of Inah’s most popular impersonations.
Should that happen, many believe it would further put to rest any lingering rumors surrounding Inah and Vice’s friendship.
