The University of the Philippines Diliman was transformed into a vibrant festival of color, music, and advocacy as thousands gathered for Pride PH: LOVELABAN 2026. From the moment the gates opened, the venue buzzed with excitement as members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, students, families, and supporters came together for one of the country’s biggest Pride celebrations, proving once again that Pride is both a joyful celebration and a continuing movement for equality.

Walking through the venue felt like stepping into a living expression of individuality. Rainbow flags waved proudly above the crowd, while attendees showcased bold fashion statements, glittering makeup, elaborate costumes, and handmade banners carrying messages of love, acceptance, and human rights. Every outfit told a story, and every smile reflected a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive Philippines.

While the event embraced a festive atmosphere, its message remained deeply rooted in advocacy. Throughout the day, participants raised their voices in support of equal rights, gender inclusivity, and protection against discrimination. The energy of the crowd was fueled not only by celebration but also by a collective determination to push for meaningful social change, reminding everyone that Pride continues to be a platform where visibility and activism go hand in hand.

Joining the celebration were some of the country’s most recognizable hosts and digital personalities, including DJ Jhai Ho, Pipay, Sophie Prime, KaladKaren, Inah Evans, and several other content creators who proudly stood alongside the community. Their presence energized the audience as they interacted with attendees, shared messages of support, and encouraged everyone to continue advocating for a society built on respect and equality.

Several celebrities also took part in the celebration, including Karina Bautista, Sky Quizon, and Nicole Cordoves, who were warmly welcomed by fans throughout the venue. Content creator couple Kyo Quijano and Luigi Pacheco likewise joined the festivities, drawing enthusiastic reactions from supporters who gathered to greet them and celebrate alongside one of social media’s well-loved pairs.

As evening approached, the atmosphere shifted into a massive concert that brought the celebration to another level. Thousands gathered in front of the main stage as P-Pop groups BGYO and AJAA delivered energetic performances that had the audience singing, dancing, and waving their banners in rhythm with every song. Their performances became one of the day’s biggest highlights, filling the UP Diliman grounds with excitement while reinforcing the event’s message of unity through music.

Beyond the entertainment, attendees explored advocacy booths and community spaces where organizations shared resources on LGBTQIA+ rights, health, education, and support services. These areas encouraged meaningful conversations and reminded participants that Pride extends beyond celebration—it is also about building stronger communities and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.

As the program came to a close, the grounds remained filled with laughter, embraces, and heartfelt conversations among old friends and new acquaintances alike. The colorful celebration may have ended, but the spirit of solidarity continued to resonate throughout the crowd.

Pride PH: LOVELABAN 2026 proved to be more than a star-studded gathering or a music-filled festival. It became a powerful reminder that visibility inspires change, that community creates strength, and that every act of support—whether through a march, a performance, or simply standing beside one another—helps move the country closer to a future where everyone can live freely and authentically.

As thousands made their way home beneath a sky still dotted with rainbow flags, they carried with them more than memories of celebrity appearances and live performances. They left with renewed hope that love, equality, and acceptance will continue to grow, one Pride celebration at a time. (with reports from Carlos Aragon)
