As a celeberation of its 40th anniversary this 2017, animé classic “Voltes V” is returning on Philippine television.

Starting on Monday, March 27, the mecha-drama animé will have a rerun on GMA Network. Aside from that, Kapuso fans should prepare to be thrilled as the characters of this animé will be voiced by Kapuso talents.

Derrick Monasterio will provide the voice of Steve Armstrong, Voltes V team leader.

His onscreen partner Bea Binene will also participate to voice Jamie Robinson, the only girl member of Voltes V.

Jak Roberto will also lend his voice for Mark Gordon while Hiro Peralta will be voicing Big Bert Armstrong.

Aside from his regular series “Meant to Be”, Ken Chan was also tapped to voice the villain Prince Zardoz.

The Kapuso stars also uploaded a teaser of their newest venture on their respective Instagram accounts.

This is not the first time that the iconic characters were dubbed by popular actors.

In 2005, the cable channel Hero, owned by ABS-CBN, re-eleased “Voltes V” as “Voltes V Evolution”. The network had Sandara Park, Jett Pangan and Dennis Trillo and other celebrities re-dub the characters’ voices.
