GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable has issued an official statement regarding the heated exchange of tweets between GMA Creative Unit Head Suzette Doctolero and the fans of AlDub on April 20.
The issue started when fans began to tag Kapuso writers on Twitter regarding the sudden change of storyline of “Destined To Be Yours” where Doctolero shared her insights which draw mixed reactions from the fans of the show.
The official statement published on GMA Network’s official website reads:
“Her tweets are her personal opinions and not those of the Network. We will deal with her separately and privately.
Destined To Be Yours’ average rating from pilot episode to present is higher than competition. Alden and Maine’s chemistry has become more and more evident as the story progresses and this makes the scenes more kilig than ever. As producers, how can we not be happy with a winning show?” she said.
DTBY’s story was really written to end in May. It is NOT being shortened. We fixed the schedule kasi that after the soap, they will already start shooting for the movie.
