- Controversial personality Deniece Cornejo does it all again! After almost a year of ‘total silence,’ she’s back headlining the news as she appeals once more to the court insisting the rape case she had previously charged actor-TV host Vhong Navarro for what seemed like the nth time.
- This is the third time that Deniece has filed the same complaint against Navarro. But the said complaint had been dismissed by the court twice already according to Navarro’s lawyers.
- Some people say that Deniece had to keep the said issue against Navarro going so that she’ll be having some free publicity for her upcoming movie.
Controversial personality, Deniece Cornejo has filed another rape complaint against TV host-actor Vhong Navarro recently. This is the third time that Cornejo has filed the same complain after it was dismissed twice by the court.
Navarro’s lawyers said, they’re wondering what made Cornejo does it all again when it was never proven and was repeatedly dismissed for what seemed like the nth time.
The Department of Justice [DOJ] had said that what had happened around two years ago between Cornejo and “It’s Showtime” host Navarro can’t be considered as rape. Navarro’s counter cases against Cornejo et al includes serious illegal detention and grave coercion which are both under investigation for two years now.
According to Navarro’s lawyers, what Cornejo’s trying to do was “incredibly illogical.”
Attorney Mallonga, Navarro’s legal counsel also said: “Importanteng malaman na may criminal case kami laban kay Deniece para sa perjury o pagsisinungaling na siya daw ay naging biktima ng rape.”
The said case is now under the Metropolitan Trial Court in Manila where it is being investigated. We’ve had the recorded CCTV as well as other pertinent evidences which proves that Deniece wasn’t raped just as she claims. They’ve already asked the DOJ to dismiss the said complaint as there’s nothing new with Cornejo’s accusation.
Navarro’s legal counsel believes that their client will soon be vindicated. Navarro was very consistent with his testimonials. Contrary to what he’s been accused, Atty. Mallonga said Navarro was the victim on this case.
Apparently, Cornejo is trying to make some noise as part of her self-publicity because she’s officially joined the showbiz industry. Since she’s got a new movie, she’s allegedly using Navarro’s name so that she will once again be the talk of the town.
