Ayon sa PEP, Louie Ignacio (Director ng PP) nag- resign na. Wala daw syang powers para macontrol si Regine at ang iba pang artist ng show.
Isa siguro sa mga dahilan ng pag-resigned in Louie(nag-resign nga pa o pina-resign) ay di nito pag-usad sa rating games. Kahit pa sabi noon ni Ogie na indi daw importante ang rating, basta enjoy sila sa kanilang ginagawa (na sa aking palagay isang malaking ka-ipokritahan).
Ayon sa isang source, and dahilan ng pag-resigned ni Louie ay dahil sa pressure mula mismo kina Ogie, Janno, Jaya at mismo mula kay Regine. Sukdulan na talaga yong nang-yari sa suposedly B-day ng huli sa Cebu na kung saan talagang nag-kalat si Regine (di memorize ang kanta) dahil hindi nya mabasa and idiot board ng kina-kanta nya dahil gawa lamang ito sa manila paper (Dagdag kasi sa NETO ito).
Maliwanag naman kay Louie sa bagong show na ito na may say si Ogie, pero being the director of the show, feeling ni Louie dapat sya ang masunod, kaya ayon dahil jowa ni Regine si Ogie, nag-wala daw ito sa backstage ng show at tinawagan pa daw ang pamunuan ng GMA at parang sinabi na “its either Louie or Me (Regine)”.
Meanwhile si Rommel Gacho muna ang pansamantalang mamahala ng Papi.
The question remains, will Papai be able to beat ASAP? That remains to be seeen. Sa akin palagay, hanggang hindi maging humble ang mga artist ng Papi (lalo na si Janno) hinding-hindi maka-kaabante ang naturang show. Bakit kamu? Ang daming negative vibes sa show na ito, una na riyan yong pilit nilang ibakasak ang kabilang show, 2nd yong pag-pirate nila ng kabilang talents (na kung tutuosin meron namang silang mga talents), 3 yong pagiging ganid nila sa ratings at NETO ( di gaya ng ASAP, na for time natalo ng SOP pero never sumuko ang ABS sa show, they just go on, keeps on innovating and improving the show). 4 yong ugali mismo nina Janno, Ogie et al, at on National TV pa ha, ipinakita nila yong pagiging poor losers nila duon sa farewell show nila na SOP sa pamamagitan ng RAP. Ngayon nakarma na sila sa mga ginawa nilang ka-negahan. So expect nyo parin that Louie will have his retribution soon.

What’s wrong with ‘Party Pilipinas’?
For more than a decade, GMA 7’s Sunday noontime show, SOP had it’s own ups and downs in competing with its rival show, ABS-CBN 2’s ASAP (now tagged with “XV” for their 15th anniversary).
In the last couple of years, ASAP lost a big chunk of its viewers as SOP gained most of Mega Manila crowd. Things suddenly changed early this year when Filipino audience switched back to ASAP XV as TV ratings of SOP declined.
In the February 7 ratings from AGB Nielsen Media Research, ASAP XV got 20.5% versus SOP’s 10%.
I feel bad because they have a pool of talents. The singers themselves were vocal that something’s wrong with their show. Named as the “Queen of Soul”, Jaya confessed about it. Even before the decline of the show’s ratings happened, rumors spread in 2008 that the “Asia’s Songbird”, Regine Velasquez thought of transferring to ABS-CBN for better opportunities.
Now, the show’s out with a new name, Party Pilipinas – matched with (I must say) a very engaging theme song. But what’s new with the show?
The main show hosts were retained with new additions to the “concert party.” Viva Artists Agency pulled out their talents Mark Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go from ASAP XV to join Party Pilipinas. Of course, the two were obviously unhappy. More new (and unknown) Viva talents were introduced including XLR8 – a P-Pop boy band (trying to compete with Korea’s K-Pop) and Eurasia – an all-girl group (similar to Pussycat Dolls, I assume).
Party Pilipinas’ major mistake is to get new co-hosts. They now have Tim Yap, RX 93.1 DJs Rico Robles and Gino Quillamor and an unknown girl who looks like Bea Alonzo (and I’m not planning on Googling her name). Why get hosts if you have GMA Artist Center? Front line your best faces and train them to host the show.
Not all ASAP XV hosts are good in hosting. Speaking of Bea Alonzo, we all know she’s not very confident in hosting a segment or interviewing a guest after a song number. But once in a while, we see her get a chance to do it. Why not do that same to GMA talents?
ABS-CBN has Studio 23, Cinema One, MYX and Sky Cable. They can scatter their talents to train and hone their skills. Imagine: a lot of ABS-CBN’s hosts came from GMA (Toni Gonzaga, Iya Villania, Mariel Rodriguez, etc.).
Channel 2’s singers are all over their teleseryes and Star Cinema movies. Yeng Constantino wrote and sang the theme songs of movies “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” and “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo”. And we all heard Bugoy Drilon sing religious songs in May Bukas Pa.
It looks like La Diva is GMA’s top (priority) artist who sang the theme song of the teleserye Rosalinda and sang the Philippine National Anthem in Pacquaio’s fight with Miguel Cotto last year. But I think it would be best if they break that group for them to create individual artists at par with Sarah Geronimo and Rachelle Ann Go and who knows… discover a new Charice!
When SOP was about to revamp the show in February, Ogie Alcasid indirectly admitted that ABS-CBN’s talents are more popular than theirs. Maybe that’s where they should start. Get rid of SD! Haha! It’s contradicting when Janno Gibbs is singing “Hot In Herre” as she’s dancing on stage.
They now have new stage but they’re touring the country so why improve the stage if you’re out of town? Lol.
Now their director, Louie Ignacio just resigned. But according to Boy Gossip, he was was kicked out because of low ratings.
Staple songs in SOP/Party Pilipinas are “Go The Distance” and “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”. It’s their favorite showstoppers for Regine to hit the impossible high notes even if it’s the 346th time they asked her to sing it.
Here’s what happens when you don’t see the point of singing a song so big:
* A mash up fail
* Jaya hit another flat note (“almost”)
* Jay-R cracked his voice
* And a disastrous ending that caused Mark Bautista to stop singing

Enough is enough dapat nang mag-move on…..Sa totoo lang kung talagang pursigido ang staff ng Party Pilipinas eh dapat mag-research sila….Ang tagal na ng concerns ng viewers ng PaPi……Lahat nag-comment na sa PEP, PEX, iGMA, pati na twitter at facebook at kung ano-ano pang concerns pero wala yata sila nakuhang matino…..
Bakit wala man lang yata akong nakita na staff na may twitter account tulad ng sa DOS para mas madali silang ma-reach just in case may concerns ang viewer???
Heto sa palagay ko ang dapat pagtuunan ng pansin ng bagong direktor at team kung meron man…
1. Make sure na lahat ng gagamiting kanta eh naka-ready na two or three weeks before the show….bigyan na sila ng study tape in advance at mag-set na lang ng date for general rehearsal.
2. Maging mahigpit ang direktor…Wala dapat LATE…Lahat kasama sa practice….Big Star man o Starlet….
3. Tanggalin ang kabaklaan na forte ni Louie (e.g. mga hubad na Brazilians na parang tuod sa show at wala naman production value)
4. Focus on the strength of the artists….Kung ballad…ballad ang pakantahin…..but experiment also once in a while para naman may variation but make sure na praktisado talaga…
5. Tanggalin na ang TELEPROMPTER para lahat mapilitan na mag-memorize ng lyrics….kung meron dapat para lang sa sasabihin ng host….
6. Tanggalin ang mga wala namang silbi at talent..Sa totoo lang puro talent yata ng VIVA nakikita ko sa PaPi ngayon….Pati yung group na trying hard magpaka K-POP….
7. Weakness ng Papi talaga eh yung sayaw….My gash….ang layo sa G FORCE ng ASAP…Si Mark Herras lang parang hindi na nag-improve…Dapat matinding rehearsal at workshop ang kailangan on this aspect….
8. As much as possible, wala dapat LYPSYNCH…..yung GLAM GIRLS eh puro fashion show naman ang ginagawa…..Isa o dalawa lang yata ang medyo marunong kumanta at lahat sila hindi pa yata marunong sumayaw….
9. Piliin mabuti ang kantang gagamitin…Pansin ko puro RECYCLED ang material nila…either LUMA ang kanta or Pinaglumaan na ng ASAP….
10. Wag muna libutin ang Pilipinas…hindi pa nga gamay ang stage sa GMA eh kung saan saan pa nagpupunta….
11. Dapat well distributed ang production numbers….Minsan sobrang dami ng number ng mga starlets na wala naman talent….
12. Ang audience….ang tatamad pumalakpak…papano ba pinipili yun? wala na ba pwede gawin sa mga iyon??? Kung talagang fans ng artist ang mga iyon eh dapat pumalakpak man lang sana kung nakita idol nila…
Kaso ang GMA wala yatang workshop kahit sa mga young talents nila…Daming hindi na marunong umarte, hindi pa marunong sumayaw at kumanta…..
Hay naku, tagal ko nang pinost to kaso kahit isa yata wala man lang ako nakitang natupad….
Hirap din maging fan ng show….

Kyla is one great talent na maipagmamalaki ng GMA because she has a distinct voice na kanyang-kanya lang. Kaya bumebenta ang mga albums niya althoiugh its not like before na umaabot pa sa platinum.
The problem with other singers like La Diva, their fans always say that they are better than most of well-known singers like Sarah, Yeng and Rachelle.
That’s where the problem began. They always tend to associate themselves with established and famous singers that they forgot who they are.
Another is that its really obvious na their patterning their career to that of Regine Velasquez which is inapppropriate since nag-iisa lang ang Songbird.
People dont want another Regine at sa panahong ito, hindi na uso ang mga pa-DIVA or birit style of singing. Music has already evolved.
The reason why Yeng or Sarah became much more marketable was the fact that they created their own image na tatatak sa tao.
Yeng was more on Pop-Rock whereas Sarah is pursuing to be the ultimate performer of any genre. Thank God, Sarah has realized that the birit thing should end with Regine (THE QUEEN OF ALL BIRITS ASIDE FROM LANI).
To become successful, you should never compare/level yourself to somebody whose already established and create a name of your own and make an impression that your not poised to be another Regine or Sarah or Rachelle.
