Ted Failon probes into holiday indiscriminate firing

Ted Failon will be investigating the cases of indiscriminate firing recorded by the PNP’s Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) during the holidays on the next episode of “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Jan 14), 4:30 p.m.

Among the 60 people reported by the DIDM to have fallen victim to stray bullets during the revelry was Ginalyn Tomarong, a 22-year old pregnant woman.

On Christmas Eve, Ginalyn was watching a fireworks display when she suddenly felt numb; something had hit her. What she thought was a firecracker turned out to be a bullet, and it had pierced through her bladder and exited through her back.

Another victim was 88-year old Josefina Tablan. At around 5:00 a.m on January 1, Josefina was hit by a stray bullet on her way to the church.

What ultimately happened to these victims? Will the authorities ever track down the people responsible for their misfortune? What measures is the PNP taking to address this problem?

Find out as Ted looks deep into cases of indiscriminate firing during the holidays on “Failon Ngayon,” on Saturday (Jan 14), 4:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
