Former ABS-CBN Kapamilya hunk-actor Derek Ramsay signed a three year contract with TV5 last Tuesday, April 10 at the Edsa Shangri-La hotel in Mandaluyong City. In an interview, Derek confirmed that his first project with TV5 will be “The Amazing Race Philippines.”
The contract signing event was also participated by TV5 President Ray Espinosa, TV5 Creative and Entertainment head Perci Intalan, and Derek’s manager Joji Dingcong. Joji said Derek was also offered by TV5 to host the Philippine primer to this year’s Summer Olympics. Derek stressed out that it’s his passion for sports influence his decision.
“Nothing can compare to how hard this was even noong nilapitan ako ng isang network to move for a bigger offer back then,” says Derek Ramsay about his decision to transfer from ABS-CBN to TV5.
