Down to Mars signs official contract with Polyeast/ EMI Records; to launch album this May

It was nearly a year ago when Down To Mars was launched at “Party Pilipinas,” a GMA7 variety show, as a new breed of brand to put distinction among local and Asian music-boy-bands/groups. Dubbed as interpop, Down To Mars brings-in myriad of Asian cultures into one dynamic expression of music with Filipino essence. They are seven Filipino lads with Korean, Japanese and Chinese bloods. DTM became regular in “Party Pilipinas” and have drawn great number of fan-base called ‘marsians’.

These GMA Artist Center’s inter-pop group Down To Mars formally signed a contract with Polyeast/ EMI Records last April 11, 2012 at the Polyeast Records/EMI office in Quezon City. This is a dream finally came true for these seven boys. They were given this milestone because PolyEast truly admired their original compositions. Their self-titled album is expected to be out this month of May. It shall consist of six originally composed songs of mostly English and one Tagalog. Their music trademark will comprise contemporary feel of techno and ‘dubstep’ (now newly explored in Europe) interwoven for Filipino high-sense of musical taste.

The music video for their carrier single is scheduled for shooting this April 17. Down to Mars‘ upcoming music video is dubbed as one of the most expensive music video ever produced in the Philippines with state-of-the-art production sets, costumes with the best creative people working behind this music video production and the PrimeTime Queen Marian Rivera is appearing in the video. The whole concept is a masterpiece and a visual treat.

Indeed, this is the most awaited event to unfold in the music industry where DTM‘s original compositions come to life. For DTM, this piece of effort is for everybody who continue to believe in Filipino creativity and staying to believe that little dreams with humility will become far and greater…. this will be a milestone in our hearts.
