Among the 5 finalists in the Directors’ Showcase category of Cinemalaya 2012, Jose Javier Reyes’ Mga Mumunting Lihim (Those Little Secrets) has the biggest number of mainstream (lead) actors in its cast, which includes Judy Ann Santos, Janice De Belen, Agot Isidro, and Iza Calzado.
The film is about the struggles of a group of childhood friends. Says Direk Joey, In a nutshell, magsisimula ang pelikula sa pagkamatay ng isang kaibigan at kung papaano siya nag-iwan ng mga ebidensiya tungkol sa mga sikretong ipinagkatago-tago ng kanyang mga kabarkada sa isa’t isa sa napakaraming taon na kanilang pagkakaibigan.
The 8th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival will be held from July 20th to 29th, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in Pasay and Greenbelt 3 in Makati, with the TriNoma mall in Quezon City as the latest venue addition.
