Filipinos are very fond of buying products that can make them more beautiful, whiter, sexier, smoother, bigger, and many more. Aside from its cheap cost, most of these products have the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seal. But little do the public know that the FDA seal is not a guarantee that a particular product is safe.
In fact, just last year, the FDA released an advisory on dangerous products because of its high mercury content.
This is why it is no surprise that there have been many reported incidents of damaged skin on some consumers due to chemical reactions. Some even cost their life in the name of beauty.
