”Failon Ngayon” recently earned three different accolades from the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA), Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR) for its outstanding reportage on various social issues and excellence as a news and current affairs program.

The CMMA awarded “Failon Ngayon” with a special citation in the Best News Magazine Program category and also recognized Ted’s radio program “Failon Ngayon sa DZMM” as the Best News Commentary.

CMFR, on the other hand, commended the program via its publication, Philippine Journalism Review (PJR) Reports for the “Failon Ngayon” episode that explained every item on water bills consumers have to pay for. VACC also recognized Ted Failon and “Failon Ngayon” for its campaign against corruption.

As the show continues this Saturday (Sep 29), Ted will on the transportation projects implemented by Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and find the truth behind the proposed increase in LRT and MRT fares by 2013. This fare hike is allegedly a way for businessmen who invested in the LRT and MRT to pay their debts.

Don’t miss the full report on “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Sep 29), 4:45 PM on ABS-CBN. Visit its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/failon.ngayon and follow it on Twitter via @Failon_Ngayon. Tweet your thoughts and reaction this weekend using the hashtag #FailonNgayon.
