Fans of Angel Locsin were delighted after the actress shared a heartfelt update about her stepson, Joaquin Arce, following his stint inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house.
In a recent post on X, Angel revealed that she and her husband, producer Neil Arce, stayed up late catching up with Joaquin after his four-month stay inside Bahay ni Kuya.
“Stayed up till 2pm yesterday — Neil finally slept around 3pm. We were just talking to Joaquin with the family. It felt like he didn’t want the night to end — all of us huddled on the living room floor, eating whatever late-night food he’d been craving for months,” Angel wrote.
She added that Joaquin has been eager to share his experiences and reconnect with life outside the reality show.
“He’s so excited to share his stories from inside, and we’re doing our best to catch him up on the outside world after 4 months in the PBB house. He still instinctively looks for his lapel mic sometimes, but he’s excited to work, thank everyone who supported him, and finally say hi to the outside world. #JoaquinUpdates.”
Supporters expressed joy over Angel’s update, with many hoping the actress would soon make a public appearance alongside Joaquin at one of his guestings.
Earlier, Angel’s voice was heard inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house when the teen housemates received audio messages from their loved ones during their final task.
Introducing herself playfully as Joaquin’s “acting coach,” Angel admitted she initially felt nervous when he told her he wanted to pursue acting and audition for PBB.
“Noong sinabi sa akin na gusto mo ngang pumasok sa pag-aartista at gusto mo ngang mag-audition sa ‘PBB’, alam mo, kinabahan talaga ako. Hindi siya madali. Ang iyong buhay ay magiging bukas sa lahat ng mga opinyon ng tao at hindi ko alam kung kakayanin mo ‘yun bilang gusto kitang protektahan,” she said.
Despite her worries, Angel expressed pride in how Joaquin handled conflicts inside the house.
“Pero, alam mo, hinarap mo ‘yung mga conflicts para maging okey kayo ng mga Housemates. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, nakaka-proud naman ‘to si Joaquin. Kaya para sa akin, isa ‘yun sa mga katangian kung bakit ikaw ang Big Winner ko,” she added.
On social media, Angel also joked that she initially did not want to record an audio message but was persuaded.
“Ayoko sana pero si mother in law, sobrang mahiyain! Hindi makapalag si Darna,” she quipped in response to a fan.
