Online savvy and a wiz in the kitchen make Andi Benitez the perfect host for 2nd Avenue’s newest locally-produced cooking show, For Sharing. Drawn to being in the kitchen from a young age, it was through trial and error that Andi learnt her craft. With passion and interest fueling her, it was not until after she finished her college studies that she chose to take several short courses in CCA, ISCAHM and some hotels abroad. Educating herself further with information and recipes she researches online, Andi admits that the internet has been a great addition to her recipe to success in the kitchen.
Andi first garnered attention online when she began to post photos of her creations on her website and Facebook page. With many taking note of her mouth-watering creations she was left flooded with orders. Due to the demand, when Andi became a mom and started homeschooling her children she took down her website to focus on her family.
For Andi the kitchen is a place of learning, from cooking and baking with her kids to teach them lessons to trying out new recipes through hit and miss adventures, there is always something new to discover. As a cook who loves “living in the kitchen,” For Sharing is a wonderful venue for Andi to share her learning’s and her fabulous creations each episode.
