GMA Network‘s supposed to be Kylie-Dingdong‘s first TV series together as loveteam received attacks particularly from the Muslim community due to it’s sensitive content which features a forbidden love between a Christian man and a Muslim woman and it coincided with the protests that the U.S. was receiving from Muslim community due a a controversial film that allegedly insults the Muslim Prophet Mohammed and it leave no option for the network but to shelve the project.
Anyways, GMA Network is now working on another heavy drama. It will have Dingdong Dantes and Kylie Padilla still as main characters. Veteran actors and comebacking Kapuso Christopher de Leon and Lorna Tolentino are still included in the cast. To be directed by Mario J. delos Reyes, the tentative title of the series is “Dangal“.
