20th of November is a special day as this day ‘Declaration of the Rights of the Child’ was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1959 and later in 1989, Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the UN General Assembly.

As a way to join the world in the said celebration, Good Neighbors International Philippines or GNIP (an international, humanitarian and development NGO in General Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC, which believes and advocates for the rights and protection of children through its child sponsorship & community development.), partners with Rock Ed Philippines or Rocking Society Through Alternative Education (a volunteer group working to provide venues and events for alternative education) to celebrate the I L.I.K.E. (I Live, Inform, Educate: Karapatan Para sa Kabataan), A Global Child’s Rights Day Celebration on the 24th of November, 2012 at the Liwasang, Aurora, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City.

The whole day activity will accommodate approximately 4,000 to 5,000 participants, mainly college students, children, families, child advocates, partners, other NGOS, and the like.  Several child-focused agencies will grace the Forum on UN CRC early in the afternoon, and several fun activities and perks like Signature Campaign, Free Photo Booth, performance of College Bands, and finally a big Child’s Rights Concert (performers including Pupil, Sandwich, UP Dharma Down, 6Cyclemind, Ebe Dancel, The KAIA Project) will take place in the evening.

For further information, please feel free to contact Good Neighbors at 951-3963/ 442-7936/ 0917-865-3864 or like us on Facebook: I L.I.K.E. (A Global Child’s Rights Day Celebration) or visit http://www.facebook.com/GNI.Phils.
