Rhian Ramos seems to be into comedy movies nowadays. Her last movie “My Kontrabida Girl” with Aljur Abrenica brought her comedic side and delightful mix of humor, charm which is also expected to be seen in this new movie.
She will be playing the role of Lizzie, the richest among the three other sosy girls – Bianca King, Heart Evangelista and Solenn Heussaff. The spoiled-rich daughter of a hotelier and self-appointed leader of the Sosy group, Lizzie (Rhian Ramos), proposes a planking protest to stop the bulldozers from rolling. But she gets in trouble and as a way to get back to the good graces of their family’s matriarch; she has to do one thing – to live with her poor relatives.
Rhian said, “My character’s name is Lizzie, and she’s the richest in the group. She’s very flashy; she’s never subtle. She likes to flash her money around. She’s also bossy. Her problem is actually more of an internal problem.”
She added, “Her friends and family just give up on her because she’s really a brat and she’s very annoying. She finds herself by finally living a life of simplicity. The funny part in it is that when you take someone who doesn’t know how to do what common people do and you put them in a situation where they have no choice, like Solenn in Survivor (laughs).”
Having the luxuries and comfortable life that she has, will she be able to survive the living conditions in the province?
Under the helm of Director Andoy Ranay and with Marlon Rivera as the script consultant, “Sossy Problems” is one of 8 films competing in this year’s MMFF which opens on Dec. 25.
